Blood game or Bloodsport is a classification of games or diversion that causes slaughter. It is characterized by Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary as "a game or challenge (as chasing or cockfighting) including bloodshed".[1] Alternatively, the Cambridge Online Dictionary characterizes blood sport as "any game that includes creatures being murdered or hurt to make the people watching or partaking feel excitement".[2]
Bloodsport incorporates coursing, battle games, for example, cockfighting and canine battling, or different exercises of human-creature blood sport. These generally include blood being drawn, and regularly bring about the passing of one or more creatures.
