Blood game or Bloodsport is a class of games or excitement that causes gore. It is characterized by Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary as "a game or challenge (as chasing or cockfighting) including bloodshed".[1] Alternatively, the Cambridge Online Dictionary characterizes blood sport as "any game that includes creatures being executed or hurt to make the people watching or joining in feel excitement".[2]
Bloodsport incorporates coursing, battle games, for example, cockfighting and pooch battling, or different exercises of human-creature blood sport. These typically include blood being drawn, and frequently bring about the demise of one or more creatures.
